Virtual Class Training Video
Background: Galileo is an innovation education company that offers in-person and virtual classes to K-8th grade kids. As a curriculum developer for the company I created training content for our instructors, ensuring they had the knowledge and skills needed to run effective and engaging classes with our curriculum. The learning objective for this training video was to ensure that new instructors could implement facilitation techniques to create a fun, energetic atmosphere in their virtual classes. At Galileo we call this “Gali-fying” their classes!
Here are the steps I took for this project:
Wrote the learning objectives for the training
Outlined the script, including facilitation ideas for each part of a virtual lesson
Submitted the outline to my team for feedback and made revisions
Wrote the final script and found b-roll footage from real classes for our video production team to include in the video
Shot the talking head footage myself
Submitted all of the content to our video production team and collaborated with them to ensure that everything was clear
Reviewed the first draft of the video and worked with the editor to make final revisions
